Biomorphic Modernist Sculpture in Carved Wood, Netherlands, 1970s

A striking biomorphic sculpture from the Netherlands, dating from the 1970s. Hand-carved from plum wood, the tall composition combines flowing organic forms with a strong architectural presence. The beautifully shaped upper section gives the work an almost abstract, figurative character.

The warm tone and expressive grain of the plum wood are enhanced by a beautiful natural aged patina. Mounted on a contrasting granite base, the sculpture has an elegant and highly decorative presence.

Condition
Excellent condition, with a beautiful natural aged patina.
