F444 Leather Lounge Chair by Pierre Paulin for Artifort, Netherlands, 1960s (SOLD)

An iconic F444 lounge chair designed by Pierre Paulin for Artifort in the 1960s. The design is remarkably minimal, consisting of a beautifully formed leather sling suspended within a slender chromed steel frame, creating an elegant balance between structure and comfort.

This example comes directly from the first owner and remains in fantastic original condition. Particularly beautiful is the original cognac leather, which has developed a rich, warm patina over the decades while retaining its authentic character. A highly decorative and sculptural example of Paulin’s early work.
