Highly abstracted female figure balanced on top of  a rounded apple form. The composition is vertical and totemic, rendered in bronze with a deep brown-green patina. The body is reduced to essential curves and voids, suggesting the female form through minimal gesture. The apple acts as symbolic anchor — origin, temptation, or cyclical myth — while the entire structure evokes ritual and archetype.

Godfried Pieters (b. 1940) is a Dutch sculptor known for his poetic abstractions of the human figure. His work blends classical themes with contemporary form, always leaning toward symbolism and reduction.
